Farm Notes — May 2023: Hiyo-chan (named after a manga about vets), a Runway Crow and a Chick Festival

Every few days we post a short clip from the farm on YouTube. Here are all seventeen from May in one place — tap any of them to play it right here.

Cat corner

Ao wandered off somewhere, purring all the way. We caught a cat smiling, and at the end of the month a cat kept watch over a chick.

Chicks

One chick made a funny gagging face. Later in the month, the chicks had a festival of their own.

Hiyo-chan and some voices

Our Hiyo-chan (named after a manga about vets). Then came a cock-a-doodle-doo on the runway, and a voice that makes all the strength drain right out of you.

Oops and so close

Oh — I cut it. Got me again! There was a failure, too. And someone wanted to eat but just couldn’t manage it, so we posted a long version of that one as well.

Finds and a tortoise

We spotted a mantis, something you don’t see often in Hawaii, and picked up a $5 find. Then came a cute tortoise and a treasure hunt.
