Every few days we post a short clip from the farm on YouTube. Here are all fifteen from July in one place — tap any of them to play it right here.
The rooster corner
Grey’s secret son seems a little dissatisfied about something. Riv is our soothing boy, a stylish red-and-black rooster, and Taft is a smart, thoughtful rooster you can reason with.
Hens and chicks
Chika, a Shamo mix hen, is a handsome girl. The nest box is always full, and security is perfect. Chickens look a bit like dinosaurs, don’t they? Blue is a strong, smart hen, the ladies of Paradise are all beauties, and Donut Jr. asked me to help out with her cute little chicks.
Everyday life
Sand baths are the best — just watching them makes me happy. Chickens mellow as they get older, too. Eat well and stay healthy, everyone, until your tummies are full! And on one peaceful afternoon, the chickens relaxed while the cats begged for attention.
Cats, Boro and Fifi
Each of our beloved kitties is here for a reason of their own. Boro, whom we met on a rainy day, is feeling better now. And Fifi the goose is shy around people — she hisses just like a cat!
