Good morning! It’s a good day for sunbathing. The big birds are sensitive to the heat, but plenty of them were sunning themselves today. It was a little hot, so I watered things down after opening the chick room.
Cucumber harvest
Time to harvest cucumbers again. The ones near the bottom turn yellow quickly, but the chickens don’t care if they’re yellow. Some had bugs on them, a little early — snip. You’re so tiny. You’re weak. All the weak chicks come to the garden.
There’s a big one over there. And this is definitely a hole dug by a chicken — the vegetable thieves are at it again. A cucumber that sank into the soil, a yellow, bug-nibbled one… Cucumber vines hurt my hands! Ouch — got it. That’s the end. Again today we got so many! We don’t mind a few bug bites. Let’s go feed them to the chickens.
Taro, that hurt
Cucumbers! Some of the birds were waiting like crazy — sorry I’m late. Are you self-serve now? Cut-up pieces aren’t good enough — you have to eat it straight from my hand? I wasn’t even giving you any. Hello? Then — ouch! Taro! He’s supposed to be the gentle type, but that hurt. I’d like to say he just made a mistake, but he peeled the skin right where my nail grows. Oh no. That was a real one.
Jack, you’re a good boy, calling everyone over to share. But everybody knows already — you don’t have to work so hard. You eat too.
Cucumbers for the little ones
Here come the chicks — cucumbers for the little ones! It’s been hot every day lately, so it’s cucumbers every day. Chico, you’re great, calling the others. But he’s growing his feathers back and has no tail right now, so he looks a little sorry for himself. He’s number two in the room, after all.
Gin-chan is a polite old lady, and she won’t eat unless it’s smaller. A little smaller? She carried it off. Auntie Opal can’t eat with her tiny mouth, so I chopped it even finer for the whole squad of small-mouthed grannies. Is it reaching you? Not small enough? So sorry.
Oops — a duckling slipped in! Are you really jumping into the world of these scary old ladies? Just like that. This is cucumber — your first time? No, you’ve had it a couple of times at home already. Tasty? And did the grannies get theirs?
Thanks for watching Chicken Paradise! See you in the next video.
