Yes, everyone, the moment you’ve been waiting for: our star player, Star! His head is exploding — currently exploding at full speed. His throat isn’t quite right today, though.
And here’s Nuts — Star’s wife? Girlfriend? She has been by his side for years. What does that mean? …Silence.
Ichigo grows up
Here’s Ichigo. Her comb suddenly got bigger, and all at once she’s a grown-up lady. It looks like she has started laying eggs; I think she took relatively long. Her face hasn’t changed at all from her chick days, but with a comb on top she suddenly looks so grown up. Good for you!
Pineapple moves in
Pineapple has a small body, an even smaller tail and a huge comb. Because he’s small, he has lived in the rescue room ever since he was little. But lately he decided all by himself to move into the big birds’ room, where the egg-layers live. He picked fights on his own, declared victory on his own and walked right in. Weak as he is, he was wheezing through the fights.
And the one who lost to that Pineapple and got kicked out is… Trumpet, the protector of the weaker birds in that room. That scar on his face? That’s what happened. Are you okay? Same as usual. He’s actually not very strong.
Meet Kannazuki
It’s been a while, but here’s today’s chicken corner: an Old English Game Bantam in a color called blue. A neighbor a couple of houses down breeds Old English Game Bantams — sort of the American version of a Japanese bantam. When I visited and happened to mention that my birthday is this month, I was handed this bird: “Birthday present!” Huh?!
I was born in October, and the old Japanese name for October is Kannazuki, so that became this bird’s name. Not friendly with me at all yet — but please say hello to everyone!
A little patch of shade
While our new Kintaro is out on a walk, let me show you the shade I built, already covered in poop. It’s shade. Nothing more to say. We were given a donated iron cage, but iron turns into an oven in the sun and would make roast chicken, so I want to build a roof for it. This is a small trial version first.
Nobody uses it. Princess, wouldn’t this be just right for you? Cute! She couldn’t care less. Prince, your shade is ready, sir. It’s not very hot right now, apparently. Next, I’ll use this as a sample to build the full-size one.
Thank you for watching Chicken Paradise! See you in the next episode.
