Good morning! First, a quiz: who is this? The answer is at the end.
The nest box is completely full. Purin is sitting on an egg, but whose egg is it? And Natsu, you look busy.
Our baby guinea pig
I introduced this little one last time: our baby guinea pig at home, with tortoiseshell markings. It’s very surprised right now. It’s still small, so to help it get used to people, I hold it every day. I wonder what it thinks about that. Probably hates it! Still, it’s slowly getting used to humans.
Guinea pigs need a boost of vitamin C, so I give them a biscuit every day. Now when I say, “Here’s a biscuit!”, they all come running. I hope the baby settles in.
Natsu, chicken keeper
Natsu, our chicken-keeping cat, is hard at work again today. I scattered the guinea pigs’ leftovers over the playground, and the chickens love digging through them. Natsu supervises. All clear! Knight was right behind her, but she doesn’t mind.
The mid-size chicks are all doing well. Hiyo-chan’s body is getting bigger, and so is his attitude. The other day he got a good scolding from one of the big old hens. When I cut the grass, a chicken popped out of it.
Around the farm
Today’s Pachita, Princess’s friend. On your own today? Oh, there you are! You found a nice spot.
Our rooster Trumpet, who I raised from a chick, is popular with the hens who used to live wild. The mid-size chicks seem to love this spot. And for the first time in a while, I managed to film Othello White and Othello Black.
Then Natsu was floating in midair. What? She’s using the netting on the coop ceiling as a hammock. It looks so comfortable. That’s Natsu’s latest hobby.
And the answer to the quiz: it was Chico!
Thank you for watching Chicken Paradise Hawaii. See you in the next episode!
