It’s raining in earnest today. No chicken corner this time — instead, a look at a rainy day at the coop.
Morning at the coop
Time to open up! Rain or not, nobody seems to mind. The rooster we took in yesterday greets the day with a big cock-a-doodle-doo. And the nest is full of eggs.
Our ducks, Chive and Mint, laid eggs too, and their eggs are a little different in shape. Those two love to bathe!
Rain for the garden
For the field, this is a blessing of a rain. The water drops on the plants look so pretty. There are more flowers on the tomatoes now, and the melons have grown to about 6 cm.
Who likes the rain?
It may be raining outside, but inside their house everyone is safe, and they’re making good use of all the space in there.
Maybe the ducks like the rain better. The chickens probably prefer sunny days. Mint and Chive are both out enjoying it — of everyone on the farm, the ducks look like they’re having the most fun.
For the chicks, this is their very first rain — and they got soaking wet. Okki-chan doesn’t mind the rain one bit. Purin, on the other hand, got all dirty. And the quail? They’re warm and cozy inside their house.
Thank you for spending a rainy day with us at Chicken Paradise. Whatever the weather is like where you are, I hope you enjoyed this peek at the coop in the rain. See you in the next episode!
