Meet Yuhi
Hey there, Yuhi (“sunset”), how are you? The other day I left his cage open by mistake, and he’s been outside ever since. Are you having fun? Not at all? Actually, he’s been working surprisingly hard as a lookout. He says he’s doing his best.
What happened to your face — those scratches? “The roosters around here are too strong. I can’t compete with them at all.” Well, of course. Nobody beats Heart and Star! You’ve always been at the bottom, so you’re probably still at the bottom. But you have juniors now, don’t you? There are lots of young ones these days.
That’s a duck — please don’t attack it. Could we have a word from you? Asahi is commenting on your behalf. Apparently it’s too hot for words.
Around the farm
It’s hard to catch the guinea fowl calling on camera, but they’re doing well. And Basil — you slept in the chickens’ room again?
Corn for a snack
I scattered some corn as a snack. Even in the heat, snacks are popular! Someone jumped in surprise when a chicken popped out right next to them. All sorts of birds are eating together. Some are eating and sunbathing at the same time — why not pick one? Whoa — it held on! Greedy, greedy Marshmallow.
Balloon is lying in the sun. Okki-chan is getting worked up, and a newcomer (no name yet) has frozen in place. Then Black Tiger comes in and starts glaring. I feel a bit sorry for the newcomer. Don’t worry about it, everyone.
Happy is first in line again today, and the pigeons are eating the leftover corn. Chako, how are you doing?
