I’m getting the food ready again today. The floor got into such a state that it just won’t recover, and the weather is still bad.
Glico! You’ve been complaining about something lately. What’s wrong? Your chest and throat are a little off, aren’t they? Anything else? Don’t peck me, say something! She says she’s forgotten. Please tell me if you remember. Glico, you always have a full belly. Where are you eating all the time? Good to see you healthy. Now she wants a snack.
I spread sawdust on the floor. How’s the sawdust, Chive? Cleaner than before the big rain? Luna, you’re covered in mud! Maybe the rain washed some of it off?
A camera in the coop
I set a tripod inside the coop to watch what goes on. Heart and Star are together, Ginny is in the middle, and Chobi comes in from the right. Everyone is curious about the camera, Nuts included. They gather around in a crowd. Glico’s favorite spot lately is right here. The Piccolo security patrol checks it out too, with Ivory first. When something unusual appears, chickens always come to have a look; they’re very curious. Piccolo’s inspection is done: nothing wrong.
Food falling from the sky? Might as well eat it. Glico, always quick to spot food, arrives from behind. Glico is actually high-ranking, so Nuts and Piccolo step aside for her. Even Heart and Star respect her and never get in her way. She’s actually a big deal! Did she almost trip? Heart is watching closely… as if nothing happened. And it looks like no more filming is allowed. Well done, senior Glico!
Under the table
Next I put the camera under the table. Everyone freezes in surprise, very suspicious, while one very curious chicken stands right behind the camera. Star seems to have found something and calls the hens together. Huge crowd! The under-table gang stirs too, but it doesn’t seem to have been anything tasty.
At the back, a broody hen is sitting. It’s warm here, so the aunties love this spot. The rooster at the back is Iruka; he hasn’t been well lately, so he’s warming up here. Lavender, Lilac, Kin-chan and Gin-chan are here too. Under the table looks very cozy.
