Good morning, everyone! Good morning over here, too.
Meet Ao
This is our kitty, Ao. Say hello! Ao is a boy. He was recently neutered, and now that he has healed, he has started going outside.
Going outside means the chickens are much closer to him than before — and he doesn’t seem to realize it at all. He’s all floppy like this, but I don’t want him attacking anyone, so I’d like him to practice spending time with everybody. He’s still a bit sluggish after the surgery… though honestly, he’s always like this. He’s only about three or four months old, but he’s already huge.
Who’s that?
The chickens are freaking out. The ducks are complaining in little voices: “What is that thing?!” This orange one, Sugar, is one of ours too, and came to look right away. Why does everyone come to look? Morbid curiosity?
Hime-chan came to see too. At Hime-chan’s size, she’d be gone in one bite! Come on, Ao, show everyone how lazy you are. “I’m not scary,” he says — and right then a fight broke out between the chickens. Fighting chickens are much scarier than this cat.
He got covered in dirt, so I picked up the cat and went to break up the fight. Cat power didn’t work at all. Ouch — I’m bleeding!
Ao’s first walk
How is it? It’s a walk… or rather, three steps forward and then he sits down. A chicken and a cat, both reacting with, “What the heck is this?” A strange picture. He sleeps a lot, too.
Parsley is always the first to take a bite out of anything new. Right now, Ao is under this cloth, and Parsley is curious. What now? Chamomile came to see as well. A hen wants to sit down here, but she can sense Ao under the cloth, so she’s holding back. A cat and chickens — how funny.
Duck talk
Then the ducks started a conversation only ducks understand. Is that bullying? What are you doing? Why do you run so fast? Those wide feet scare the hens! I don’t think the little one is running away from the big duck, since in the end it keeps heading back toward it.
This is the little duckling that walked onto our farm from nowhere. Welcome home! I can’t tell if the big duck is being kind or mean to it, but it looks kind. Maybe just a little rough.
Thank you for watching Chicken Paradise! See you next time.
