Good morning! Everyone is having a nice meal together.
Breakfast time
Over here, the upper row is the popular spot. They’re all veterans, and waiting your turn is part of daily life. These ones are eating fresh grass. With all the heavy rain, the grass has grown like crazy, so I want them to eat plenty. The star players are the same as ever. The little ones seem to be more the indoor type, maybe because the floor is in good shape. A full house again today!
Meet No. 354
This is the rooster I picked up by the side of the road the other day. His nerves were a little weak, and he couldn’t walk well. He had a tag on his wing: number 354. Look at that incredibly dirty face!
He turned out to be a real glutton. Since then his appetite has exploded, and he eats an enormous amount. Thanks to all that food and resting quietly in a small space, his nerve problem seems to be getting a bit better. He can stand up properly now. Are you eating dirt? Is that dirt tasty?
His balance still isn’t right, so he uses his wings to steady himself and drags them a little, but he’s much better. Little by little, he’s started to walk. Careful, if you swallow long grass like that, you’ll choke! He’s not the brightest.
Fighting-chicken chicks are raised in tightly enclosed spaces and then suddenly put outside. I think he was dumped just before that point, so he probably hasn’t had much experience of being outdoors. That’s a stone, buddy. He doesn’t really seem to know how to eat grass yet.
Why don’t you try walking a little? Ooh, he’s walking forward properly! Good for you. If he moves to a slightly bigger cage and keeps practicing, I think he’ll probably make a full recovery. Hang in there!
Thank you for watching Chicken Paradise Hawaii. See you in the next episode!
