Good morning! Yesterday we had a huge downpour. I had to move all sorts of things in a hurry, so everything is a mess — and the chickens who found the mess are making it even messier.
Who stayed dry?
Sonata, that rain was something, wasn’t it? You were the only one who cleverly slept somewhere you didn’t get wet at all. Grey, for whatever reason, stayed in a wet spot, protecting the hens. Shouldn’t you be the one tucked inside? And look — your tail is all ragged!
Everyone is very hungry, so let’s make breakfast. The chicks are getting bigger, getting along with each other, and spending their days freely. And here’s Sonata back in June — see how small that tail was? I’m glad you’re on the mend.
A fifth turtle
This is the last group of turtles we bought. This one’s belly is squashed and its shell is bent, so it was marked way down — and in the end it became the fifth one I bought. Its face is dirty, but it’s cute.
Pen-chan’s walk
Pen-chan is out for a walk. Earlier, you stepped on the bok choy leaves I’ve been so carefully growing and tore them off. If you’re going to tear them, at least eat them! Are you going to eat that? No — just tore it off. Well, you’re in a good mood again today.
Meet Bun-chan
Bun-chan is a Java sparrow who had been living at our house all this time, and who was once very skinny. Another sparrow wandered into our pigeon house by accident, so I let the two become friends. Thanks to that newcomer, Bun-chan got some wildness back, so I think they’ll both be able to make it out there.
Back to the wild
Wild Java sparrows have come to pick up Bun-chan and friend. There’s one over there, and another over there… maybe you can’t quite see them. (I’ll add arrows later.)
Oh, Bun-chan is raring to go. And — there, off they fly! I’m sure they’re right over there. Good for you. Bye, Bun-chan, take care. If you ever come back, there will always be food here for you.
You can see them really well from here. It doesn’t show well in the video, but about 20 wild sparrows came to pick them up. Take care!
Thank you for watching Chicken Paradise — see you next time!
